What to look for in a Cheap VPS?
Well everybody wants to pay the least amount possible per month. This is obvious, and we get this. That is why we do everything we can to pickout the cheapest VPS reviews possible.
Yet, you can’t always just go for the CHEAPEST, you have to look at what your getting for what your paying. So we have come up with a list of things that you should look into when you are buying a VPS.
Resources
If you need a lot of space, then you have to make sure that you are getting a VPS with the hard drive space capable of handling your needs.
If you require more memory because you run a lot of machine critical tasks then you will want to make sure you are look for Guaranteed Memory. There is burstable memory as well which is good for handling spikes but what you really want is guaranteed memory because this is always available for you and your tasks only. Burstable memory is used for protecting the entire machine, not just you and if you were to run tasks that used the burstable memory too often you would end up freezing.
Then we come to Bandwidth, whether a Windows or Linux VPS you have to make sure that your uploading and downloading fits under the bandwidth maximum of the host. So if you need 1500GB don’t go buy a host that is only going to give you 1000GB because overage charges can be extremely expensive and really handcuff you and your online business.
Don’t forget about speed. Make sure you are getting on at least a 10 or 100mbps port if you need a fast VPS. This is generally for people who run streaming media sites and cannot use YouTube or other video hosting providers to host their videos.
These are just a few things that we think you should keep in mind when you are looking over our VPS Reviews.
